As you might already know, Epic Games sometimes has free offers. This week, the company put Thief and The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition out for grabs until April 11. So, hurry up and get them from the Epic Store. Additionally, if you want to find free deals in time, use a Discord bot or Opera GX.
Everything you need to know about The Outer Worlds
The Outer Worlds is an open-world RPG with great mechanics and a good storyline. It won the role-playing game of the year award at the D.I.C.E. Awards. Also, the game received a total of 20 award nominations.
Before going into details about the game’s plot, know that you will most likely enjoy the game if you are a Sci-fi fan. Also, if you recently got Helldivers and played Starfield, this one would be a great addition to your collection. Furthermore, The Outer Worlds 2 will be available soon.
Plot-wise, The Outer Worlds follows the story of a colonist awakened from a cryosleep by a mad scientist. Your challenge is to uncover a secret conspiracy and decide the fate of the Halcyon colony. Also, your choices in the game affect the story’s progress, and you can recruit various companions.
The combat system of The Outer Worlds feels smooth. You have a time-slowing technique that helps you with difficult enemies. Some players consider the game’s world-building excellent. On top of that, many praise its storytelling and dialogue.
There is also a downside to the game. It doesn’t have a map as big as Fallout or Skyrim, and replaying it might not be as enjoyable due to the lack of content. Plus, you have to play from THE POINT OF NO RETURN save because after you finish the story, that’s it.
Ultimately, even if Epic Games is not your favorite platform, consider getting Thief and The Outer Worlds, especially since they are free. After all, both games offer many hours of gameplay. Also, they have a beefy story and great mechanics. Additionally, The Outer Worlds 2 is coming, and you should play the prequel to get a headstart.
