Microsoft has released Build 27881 to Windows 11 Insiders in the Canary Channel. It’s a small update, but it delivers helpful upgrades across voice typing, accessibility, and file sharing. Here’s everything included in the update.
Build 27881 brings a profanity filter toggle for voice typing in Windows 11
You can now choose whether voice typing filters profanity. Just press Win + H, click the Settings icon, and you’ll see a new Filter Profanity toggle. You can turn it off, and Windows will stop censoring your speech input.
Narrator adds “Speech Recap”
The Narrator feature now keeps a transcript of the last 500 things it reads aloud in the Windows 11 Build 27881. Press Narrator Key + Alt + X to open it. If you need to copy the recap, press Narrator Key + Ctrl + X to save it to your clipboard.
Smarter sharing and taskbar feedback
Windows 11 Build 27881 adds a pill-style alert to the taskbar for apps that need your attention. The Share menu has also been improved. You can now right-click a file and choose Share with to send it directly to supported apps. The share interface also includes a basic image editor.
There’s also a reorganized accessibility flyout with feature categories, a refreshed UI for renaming printers, and a new FAQ section in Settings with info about your PC’s hardware and software.
