Windows 11 Canary Build 29560 Fixes System Freezes & USB Devices Not Working Issue
Microsoft has released a new Canary Build 29560.1000 for Windows 11 Insiders on the optional 29500 build series. As usual, this optional Canary build is all about fixes and small reliability improvements.
In the changelog, Microsoft notes that this “update includes platform changes in moving to a new active development build.” Besides that, Microsoft has fixed a few issues that Canary Insiders encountered after updating to previous optional build.
Microsoft has fixed an issue that was causing some Insiders to experience increased system freezes after recent Canary builds, which should improve overall stability. Another notable fix addresses a problem where attached USB devices stopped working for some users after the latest flight. This should bring things back to normal for anyone relying on external peripherals.
That being said, there’s also a small improvement to Screensaver settings. Microsoft says it has improved the reliability when setting the Screensaver option back to “None,” which should now work more consistently.
In recent optional Canary builds, the company has been quietly fixing bugs without adding major features, and this build follows the same pattern. Last but not the least, Beta and Dev channel Insiders also received Preview Builds that introduces Xbox Mode in Windows 11 and more.
