Windows 11 Canary & Dev Updates, KB5081339 & KB5079483, Arrive with a New Feedback Hub
Microsoft is sending out a fresh test build for Windows 11 users right now. If you are part of the Canary testing channel, you can download build 28020.1743 under the KB5081339 update. The biggest change in this specific release is a completely rebuilt Feedback Hub.
The company wants to make it much easier for regular users to tell them about bugs or suggest new ideas.
A completely fresh look for the feedback hub
The old feedback app could feel a bit cluttered, so Microsoft gave it a much cleaner home page. When you open the new version, you will see a simpler form for typing out your thoughts. Instead of jumping through different menus, everything uses one simple layout.
You can also easily search through different categories to see if someone else has already reported your exact problem. For the first time, Microsoft even added a specific button just to send a compliment if you actually like a new feature.
The menu on the side is also much easier to read now. You can find your own past reports instantly under a dedicated tab. The old announcements page is completely gone, which leaves more room for you to look through community posts and vote on problems that need fixing.
Better tools for screenshots and quick ideas
Sometimes you just want to point out a tiny glitch without opening a massive app window. To fix this, Microsoft added a small, focused feedback box. It pops up quickly, so you can share a fast thought and get right back to your work. If you need to add a picture, the built-in screenshot tools are much better now.
You can easily click on your image to highlight a specific area, hide private details, or crop the picture before you hit send. Not to forget, the same changes to Feedback Hub has been rolled out to Dev channel with Build 26300.8085 under KB5079483.
Other updates in this release
Beyond the new feedback tools, this update brings a few other helpful tweaks. The shared audio feature now has separate volume sliders, letting two people listen on different Bluetooth headphones at their own preferred loudness. The right-click menu will now correctly show the proper app icon next to the open button.
Finally, the file explorer is much better at unblocking and previewing files downloaded from the internet.
