Adobe Photoshop is probably the most used graphics editing program in the whole world, probably only second to Paint. Now, the Adobe Photoshop Express Windows 8.1 app has received an important update in the Windows Store

The Windows 8 Adobe Photoshop Express app is the official Photoshop app to be used for editing pictures. It might not have all the tools like the desktop version, but along with Gimp, it definitely is one of the best apps to be used in Windows 8 for picture editing. A new update for the Windows 8.1 update brings a set of bug fixes that improves the performance of the app. Its description goes like this:

Photo magic at your fingertips. On-the-go photo editing was never so fun, fast, and cool. Touch your way to better-looking pictures with automatic fixes and filters. Get your pictures to pop! And after sharing, you’ll be the talk of your friends.

The release note for the Adobe Photoshop Express Windows 8.1 app only point to “bug fixes”, but going through the reviews on the Windows Store I’ve discovered that the app is faster now, especially photo editing is snappier. Also, several crashes and hanging problems have been fixed.

Recently, a number of Adobe products have been updated to Windows 8.1, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, the Adobe Flash Player (with fixes for “not working” problems). Also, an official Adobe Reader app has been made available for Windows 8 device, under the name of Adobe Reader Touch. You can find the updated Adobe Photoshop Express app for Windows 8.1 below.
