World of Warcraft: Forever Appears in Xbox Release List, but Microsoft Says It's a Mistake

Microsoft has sparked fresh speculation about World of Warcraft: Forever coming to Xbox after the official Xbox UK account mistakenly included the game in a social media post promoting November releases.

The mistake comes after World of Warcraft: Forever’s Xbox controller support raised hopes of a console release. Blizzard also recently suggested that an Xbox version could be possible.

Xbox UK deletes World of Warcraft: Forever post and issues correction

Reddit user u/hazedesunna spotted the official Xbox UK account listing World of Warcraft: Forever among its November Xbox releases.

However, Microsoft quickly deleted the post and issued a correction, confirming that the game is not launching on Xbox consoles.

Xbox UK clarified that World of Warcraft: Forever launches on November 4, 2026, for PC and Mac through Battle.net. The company also apologized for the confusion and confirmed that Blizzard has not announced an Xbox version.

World of Warcraft Xbox rumors continue despite Microsoft’s correction

The accidental listing has renewed speculation about a possible console release, particularly since World of Warcraft: Forever supports Xbox controllers.

Blizzard’s recent comments have also kept the possibility open, although neither Microsoft nor Blizzard has announced a console port or release window.

For now, World of Warcraft: Forever remains a PC and Mac release, and Xbox players should not expect the game to arrive on consoles on November 4.
