X (Twitter) goes down worldwide, users report login and feed issues

If you can’t access X (FKA Twitter), you’re not alone. Some bizarre issue is going on right now with X for users in India, the US, and the UK. As experienced by us and many across the world, X shows frozen feeds, especially the “Welcome to X” error page. Besides that, many have complained that logging in is also not possible. Here’s what I can see on X at the time of writing this article. No, it’s not the welcome page that first appears when you sign up on X; it’s an error. Every time I refreshed the X website, I landed on this page, which was supposed to be my curated feed.

Reports started piling up quickly, with Downdetector showing more than 25,000 outage complaints around 19:41 IST. Users have also reported problems accessing the app, refreshing feeds, and loading posts, signaling a disruption that hit multiple regions almost simultaneously.

For now, if your feed isn’t refreshing or your login keeps failing, it’s likely the outage, and not your device, that’s throwing up some random error. Users are advised to keep checking X and Downdetector for updates as the platform works to stabilize access.
