Microsoft’s long-teased universal game library is finally rolling out in preview. It’s called the “aggregated gaming library,” and Xbox Insiders on PC can try it out starting today.

This new feature pulls together games from Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net, and other major PC stores directly into the Xbox app. Microsoft hasn’t named all the supported storefronts, but Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, and EA Play are likely on that list.

A better way to see all your games in one place

Here’s how it works: once a supported game is installed on your system, it shows up under “My Library” and “Most Recent” inside the Xbox app. No need to launch five different apps just to find what you’ve played.

The company also says the feature will support ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handhelds later this year, timed for the holidays. These devices will run a customized version of Windows with a gaming-first experience.

Users can fine-tune what they see, too. In the Settings under “Library & Extensions,” you can turn off specific stores or hide individual games if your library gets too cluttered.

Microsoft calls this just “the beginning” and promises wider support over time. If you want to try it now, just install the Xbox Insider Hub on your PC and enroll in the preview.
