XBOX Backward Compatibility Adds Achievements to Classic Games

XBOX backward compatibility is expanding with PC support, new features, and achievements for select Original XBOX games later this year.

Original XBOX Games Are Getting Achievements

Select Original XBOX games will receive XBOX achievements in the coming months.

Original XBOX titles previously lacked achievement support when played through backward compatibility. Achievements became a standard XBOX feature with the XBOX 360 generation.

Microsoft has confirmed achievement support for these four games:

• Blinx: The Time Sweeper
• Fuzion Frenzy
• Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
• Conker: Live & Reloaded

The company expects to release the feature later this year, although it has not announced a specific launch date.

More Original XBOX Games Could Get Achievements

Microsoft says it plans to add more features to backward-compatible titles in the future.

XBOX is also reportedly reviewing its customer support process following complaints from users with hacked accounts.

Players have raised concerns about difficulties recovering compromised accounts and reaching effective support channels. Any changes could focus on improving account recovery, identity verification, and communication with affected users.
