XBOX Fans are Pleading to Bring Back Exclusives, New "Player Voice" Feedback Hub Reveals
It took barely a day for XBOX Player Voice to turn into something much bigger than just a feedback portal. While XBOX launched the platform as a simpler way for players to share opinions directly with the company, fans are already using it to send a very loud message about the future of the brand.
XBOX fans demand exclusives, free multiplayer, and Game Pass family plans
Not to mention, the biggest topic right now is exclusives. One of the most upvoted requests on the newly launched XBOX Player Voice forum is asking Microsoft to bring back proper first-party exclusives. At the time of writing, the suggestion has already crossed more than 6,500 upvotes, making it one of the platform’s hottest discussions so far. Here’s what the top post on the new feedback hub from user, Carlos Hernandez, reads:
“XBOX was built off of great game exclusives, you cannot sell any consoles without a reason to buy the console compared to your competition or even sending your tentpole games over to your competitor. BRING THEM BACK PLEASE !!!”
Over the past few months, Microsoft has aggressively pushed its multiplatform strategy forward, with titles like Halo: Campaign Evolved and Forza Horizon 6 heading toward rival platforms including PlayStation. Needless to say, not every XBOX fan appears happy with that direction.
That being said, exclusives are far from the only thing players are demanding. Backwards compatibility and free online multiplayer are also exploding in popularity across the forum, with both requests reportedly sitting above the 4,800 upvote mark already.
Speaking of multiplayer, many users argue that removing the paywall for online gaming would immediately give XBOX a major advantage over PlayStation, especially since PC players already access multiplayer services for free. Meanwhile, backwards compatibility continues to remain one of the most requested legacy-focused features among long-time fans.
XBOX Game Pass-related changes are also in demand
Further down the rankings, achievements and Game Pass discussions are also getting serious attention. Some players want DLC achievements separated from base-game completion lists, while others are pushing for a PlayStation-style Platinum Trophy equivalent. On the subscription side, players are requesting a proper XBOX Game Pass Family Plan for households with multiple consoles.
At a time when XBOX is going through massive platform changes under Asha Sharma, Player Voice is already revealing what the community may actually care about the most.
