[UPDATE] Xbox Free Play Days Brings CATAN & Deadside This Weekend (May 7-10)

[UPDATE: May 7, 2026 | 03:45PM UTC] Microsoft has officially confirmed that the two games, CATAN and Deadside, we reported earlier today will be part of this weekend’s Xbox Free Play Days lineup. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and Essential members can play both the games for free this weekend. Not to forget, you can also grab Deadside at a discounted price of $12.49 if you buy it during the Free Play Days window.

[ORIGINAL STORY] It’s Thursday, which means Microsoft is set for yet another Xbox Free Play Days lineup announcement later today. However, we already have the names of at least two games expected to be part of this weekend’s lineup.

As usual, the details come from Reddit user Oliomono, who has a solid track record with Free Play Days leaks.

CATAN and Deadside likely to join this weekend’s Xbox Free Play Days lineup

In a Reddit post from earlier today, u/Oliomono claimed that Microsoft is highly likely to add CATAN (Console Edition) and Deadside as part of this weekend’s Free Play Days lineup.

Notably, the window to play these games officially starts today, May 7 through May 10, Sunday. That said, this list is not final, and Microsoft is highly likely to add more games to the Free Play Days lineup over the weekend. It’s also possible that discounts will be available on select titles if players choose to purchase them during the event period.

Microsoft will officially announce the Free Play Days lineup later in the day. Once the final list is confirmed, we’ll update this piece with additional information. For now, it’s still unclear which of these games may require Xbox Game Pass subscription to play this weekend.
