Xbox Free Play Days: Try Black Ops 7, Fallout 76, and More for Free This Weekend
Xbox has kicked off a new Free Play Days event, giving players a chance to try several major games for free this weekend. The promotion runs from December 18 through late December 21, 2025, and includes popular shooters, sports titles, and RPGs.
These games run at no extra cost on Xbox consoles, with PC support available where applicable, as long as the Free Play Days window remains active.
All Xbox Free Play Days games (Dec 18–21)
Players can download and play the following titles for a limited time:
- Ark: Survival Ascended
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
- Fallout 76
- NBA 2K26
- WWE 2K25
Progress earned during the trial period typically carries over if you decide to purchase the full game after the event ends.
Extended trial periods for select games
Two of the featured titles come with slightly longer free trial windows:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 free trial remains playable until December 22
- Fallout 76 stays available until December 23
These extensions give players extra time to explore multiplayer modes, progression systems, and live-service content beyond the standard Free Play Days schedule.
How to access Free Play Days
To start playing, head to the Xbox Store on your console or PC, search for any of the eligible titles, and select the Free Trial or Free Play Days option. An active Xbox subscription may be required, depending on the title and platform.
With a strong mix of shooters, sports games, and long-running live-service experiences, this Free Play Days weekend offers plenty to try before the holidays.
