Key notes
If you are one of those Xbox users who complained about the space taken up by tiles on the Home screen, we have some good news for you. Microsoft has announced that Xbox Insiders now have new customization options for the Recently Played Games and Apps list on Home. The tech giant said this move is part of its continuous effort to make the Home page more personal, less crowded, and more flexible.
What’s new in Xbox Insider customization options?
- Hide system apps—Microsoft now allows you to focus entirely on the games and entertainment of your choice. That’s why it brings the hide system apps option to remove all the system apps from your Recently Played Games and Apps list on your Home screen.
- Add Favorites to Home – Xbox Insiders can pin up to three recently played apps or games to the Recently Played Games and Apps list on the home screen.
- Reduce tile count (will add soon) – If you prefer a minimalist look and less clutter on your home screen, you will soon be able to reduce the number of tiles in the Recently Played Games and Apps list. Microsoft is currently working on refining this setting.
Who is this update for?
The update is rolling out first to Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha rings. Microsoft has invited the Insiders to check the features and share their thoughts via Report a Problem or join the conversation on the Xbox Insiders subreddit.
