Xbox Launches Spring Sale Preview With Over 600 Discounted Titles

xbox spring sale preview

The Xbox Spring Sale appears to have quietly started, giving select players early access to hundreds of discounted games. While many expected a later launch following the Steam Spring Sale, the promotion is already live in a limited preview phase.

According to Pure Xbox, the sale begins with a one-week early access window reserved for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. During this period, players with an active subscription can browse and purchase discounted titles before the promotion opens to everyone else.

Early access offers over 600 discounted games

The preview phase already includes more than 600 discounted games, covering a wide range of genres and popular franchises. Many major Xbox titles are part of the initial wave, with deeper discounts and additional deals expected once the full sale officially launches.

The complete rollout is anticipated around April 1 or April 2, when all Xbox players will gain access to the promotion regardless of subscription status.

Players can explore current deals directly through the Deals section on their Xbox consoles, where discounted titles are already being highlighted.

More deals expected with full launch

While the current selection is already extensive, the early phase likely represents only part of the full catalog. Historically, Xbox seasonal sales expand significantly once they open to all users, often adding hundreds more titles and deeper discounts. Here are some of the top games on discount:

The timing of the Xbox Spring Sale comes as the gaming industry continues to experiment with pricing strategies. Sony has recently introduced dynamic pricing for PlayStation 5 titles in the United States, while Nintendo is moving toward separate pricing for physical and digital games.

These changes suggest a broader shift in how publishers and platform holders approach game pricing, especially during major sales events.
