Now that the October 2018 update has been released for Windows 10 PCs, it will soon be the turn of the Xbox One to get its own October update. Yesterday, the Xbox Insiders on the Omega Ring got their first Xbox One 1810 build, which means that all Xbox Insiders can now test the next Xbox One system update.

The Xbox One 1810 update brings several new features such as Dolby Vision support for video content, the redesigned Xbox Live Avatars, Alexa integration and more. There are also some UI changes for the My Games & Apps section, with the “Ready to Install” section being replaced by a new toggle for switching between “Installed” and Ready to install”. We’ll go more in depth once the update is generally available, but this is a pretty exciting release overall.

If the Xbox One 1810 is now almost fully baked, the Xbox team has already started testing the next Xbox One system update, also codenamed “19H1” with Skip Ahead Xbox Insiders. The only new feature that Microsoft has announced so far is upcoming support for mouse and keyboard, and this expected to roll out to Skip Ahead Insiders later this month.
