XBOX Owners Get Free PC Versions of 13 Ubisoft Games

Free PC versions for XBOX owners are now available for 13 Ubisoft games. Microsoft and Ubisoft will grant eligible digital XBOX buyers access to the matching PC editions through Ubisoft Connect at no additional cost.

The expansion follows the arrival of more than 80 Ubisoft games on the XBOX PC app for individual purchase. The new program connects selected digital XBOX purchases with Ubisoft’s existing PC versions.

Which Ubisoft games include a free PC version?

The offer currently supports these games:

• Assassin’s Creed Mirage
• Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
• Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
• Far Cry 6
• Immortals Fenyx Rising
• Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
• Riders Republic
• Skull and Bones
• The Crew 2
• The Crew Motorfest
• Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
• Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
• Watch Dogs Legion

Players who digitally purchased a supported game from July 21 receive access to both the XBOX console and PC versions. Ubisoft delivers the PC license through Ubisoft Connect rather than directly through the XBOX PC app.

Existing XBOX owners also qualify

Microsoft and Ubisoft are gradually adding PC licenses to accounts that already own eligible digital XBOX games. Microsoft expects to complete the rollout by August 4.

The program only works from XBOX to PC. Players who already own one of the supported games on PC will not receive a free XBOX console version.

Most eligible XBOX editions, season passes, and downloadable add-ons will also transfer to the PC version. However, Ubisoft excludes consumable items such as in-game currency and one-time-use content.

Games that support cross-progression may still unlock account-linked content when players sign in with the same Ubisoft account.

The offer gives XBOX owners more flexibility to continue supported Ubisoft games on PC without purchasing them again. Microsoft introduced the program shortly after XBOX suffered a major network outage, which the XBOX CTO described as unacceptable.
