Xbox Reveals Gamescom 2026 Lineup, COD: Modern Warfare 4, Fable, Gears of War: E-Day & More Included

Xbox has officially unveiled its plans for Gamescom 2026, confirming a packed showcase featuring some of the biggest first-party and third-party games heading to Xbox. The company will return to Cologne, Germany, to celebrate 25 years of Xbox, with attendees getting hands-on access to several highly anticipated titles before launch.

Xbox is bringing 25 games and 140 demo stations

The company says that the Xbox booth will feature 25 upcoming games across 140 gaming stations, giving fans an opportunity to play a wide range of titles. Among the biggest highlights is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which will let visitors experience the game’s Core 6v6 multiplayer on Xbox Series X.

Microsoft also confirmed that Gears of War: E-Day will receive its first public playable campaign demo ahead of its October 6 release. Meanwhile, Minecraft Dungeons II will be playable for the first time, and Fable will receive its first-ever live theater gameplay presentation from Playground Games.

The lineup extends well beyond Xbox Game Studios. Visitors will also get early access to METRO 2039, Alien: Isolation 2, STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, Halo: Campaign Evolved, Forza Horizon 6, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, STAR WARS Zero Company, Turok: Origins, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, and several other upcoming releases.

Xbox will also stream Gamescom worldwide

Players unable to attend Gamescom in person won’t miss out entirely. Xbox confirmed it will host live broadcasts (Twitch and YouTube) from the show floor on August 26 and August 27, featuring gameplay reveals, developer interviews, trailers, and special guests through YouTube and Twitch.

In addition to the games, Xbox is using Gamescom 2026 to mark its 25th anniversary with interactive exhibits celebrating the brand’s history. The company is also bringing back Xbox FanFest, giving selected fans exclusive access to special events during the show.
