Xbox's New Mythic Achievement Revealed With Unique Unlock Sound in New PC App Update

Xbox achievement hunters have just received another look at the upcoming Mythic Achievement system.

The new update to the Xbox PC App has revealed the Mythic Achievement’s dedicated icon and unlock sound, giving us the clearest look yet at the feature that could become Xbox’s answer to PlayStation’s Platinum Trophy.

The discovery was shared by @Klobrille on X, who posted the new Mythic Achievement artwork and sound on X. The icon uses a green, star-like emblem surrounded by a laurel design, giving it a noticeably different presentation from regular Xbox achievements.

This isn’t the first sign of the feature. Xbox Insiders previously spotted Completed Mythic Achievement and Incomplete Mythic Achievement filters in the Xbox interface, suggesting Xbox has been working on a dedicated completion system for some time.

Xbox has not officially announced the Mythic Achievement yet, so exactly how it will work remains unconfirmed. Early reports have described it as a reward for completing a game’s achievements, potentially making it Xbox’s equivalent of PlayStation’s Platinum Trophy.

The latest PC App update adds more than just artwork. It also comes with the Mythic Achievement unlock sound.
