Even though Yahoo Messenger for Windows 8 isn’t yet official, you can still download a dedicated app that can offer you all the features you want and need in order to stay in touch with your friends, family or coworkers.
Nowadays the social media networks are becoming more and more popular, which means that the old services we used for chatting and video-calling with our friends will be left behind. Well, hopefully that’s not the case for Yahoo Messenger, which is still struggling to survive as more and more users are choosing Facebook messenger or Hangouts instead.

Yahoo Messenger for Windows 8 is now better and more stable
Anyway, on Windows 8 based devices we can’t download the official Yahoo Messenger app, but we can use several dedicated tools that works just fine. With the new version of the software, which by the way can be anytime downloaded for free from Windows Store, you can complete all the tasks you want, as now the touch based app is almost the same as the desktop client.
Thus, using Yahoo Messenger for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 you will be able to send and receive various files, set your status and stealth mode, change your profile image, save your history, engage chat texts and use emoticons, perform video callings and lot more. Furthermore, the instant messaging service is stable and run without lags or bugs on any Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 based device, whether we are talking about tablets, laptops or desktops.
During time, Yahoo Messenger for Windows 8 received several updates that revealed important stability improvements and bug fixes, while for Windows 8.1 systems the IM+ software has become fully optimized for daily uses. I have already pointed out before, Yahoo Messenger can be anytime tested, the app being free distributed on Windows Store.
