You can get a Game Pass Ultimate for free, by purchasing it with points in the new Xbox Rewards app

The Xbox Rewards app is a new app that is replacing the traditional Microsoft Rewards on Xbox. While people can still enjoy Microsoft Rewards, Xbox is getting its own Rewards program, including Xbox-related activities, such as streamlined activities meant to be completed while playing on the console.

The transition from the Microsoft Rewards for Xbox to Xbox Rewards should be completed by the end of 2023, and there are already signs that the change is happening, with the Redmond-based tech giant releasing the Game Pass Ultimate reward on the platform.

Spotted by Xbox enthusiast @Betinhogvzdias, and validated by @IdleSloth84_, it seems that Xbox users can practically get a Game Pass Ultimate subscription for free, assuming they have enough Rewards points in their Xbox Rewards account.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: 3 months was initially up for 35,000 points, but now it seems that Microsoft reduced it to 28,000 points. However, in some places, the 35,000 points price will show up, instead, so you should wait for a few days or check the platform frequently, in case you’re interested in the deal.

Is the Xbox Rewards app available everywhere?

If you’ve been following the story on the Xbox Rewards app, then you know that the first mention of this app appeared to Brazilian Xbox users, approximately 2 weeks ago. Some users from Brazil noticed that a pop-up mentioning the regular Microsoft Rewards for Xbox will be replaced by a new Xbox Rewards app.

However, the Redmond-based tech giant hasn’t said anything about the Xbox Rewards app coming to the international markets such as the US or the UK markets, where there are large Xbox communities.

In fact, the screenshot circulating on social media shows the price of 35,000 points for an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: 3 months subscription is in Portuguese, meaning that the Xbox Rewards app is currently being released to the Brazilian market.

So, for now, the Xbox Rewards app is not available everywhere, but we should know more about it in the following weeks. As Microsoft tests it out on other markets, the app might be released to more markets if it proves to be successful.
