YouTube Premium is Now 50% Off for Eligible Google One Subscribers
YouTube Premium at 50% off for 12 months, offer ends April 29, 2026
If you have been frustrated by ever-increasing price of YouTube Premium, Google now has an offer that’s worth considering. Yesterday, Google One lead, Shimrit Ben-Yairhe, posted on X, announcing a limited-time subscription bundle that offers a discounted YouTube Premium add-on for eligible users.
Google One 2TB+ subscribers can get YouTube Premium at 50% off for 12 months
Starting April 15 through April 29, 2026, eligible Google One users can get YouTube Premium at 50% off for 12 months. The offer is available to both new and existing members in the US, Brazil, Canada, Germany, France, and Japan.
So, who are eligible, you may ask, right? Well, those who are subscribed to Google One Premium and AI Pro plans with 2 TB or higher. The discounted add-on bundles YouTube Premium benefits like ad-free videos, offline downloads, and background playback into the same plan.
Google notes that during this promotional window, the usual 1-month free YouTube Premium add-on is not available. Do note that eligible users can redeem the offer via the Google One website. Once redeemed, the new bundled plan starts immediately, and any existing promotional discounts on the user’s current plan will end.
After the 12-month period, billing shifts to a monthly recurring charge at the discounted add-on rate. Google adds that users will receive a reminder via Google Play before the first post-promo charge is applied.
That being said, the offer runs for just two weeks, which means limited number of users may actually take advantage of it. As of now, it’s unclear whether Google plans to expand this offer to more regions or introduce similar bundles across other services down the line. Moreover, it’s worth noting that YouTube Premium has also recently started testing two experimental settings called On-the-go and Auto speed.
