According to multiple trackers, users started facing issues early evening U.S. time. Per user reports on Reddit and X, the issue appears to have knocked down homepage and subscriptions feed, as they fail to load correctly, while video playback and navigation are lagging or showing error messages such as “Something went wrong.” We have also experienced similar error on mobile and YouTube website.

Multiole users says that while direct video playback sometimes works when accessed through search or history, primary features like browsing the feed and homepage are not displaying normally. As mentioned earlier, the outage has reportedly affected both mobile and desktop versions of YouTube, with similar error messages appearing across devices.

Data from crowd‑sourced outage platforms like Downdetector suggest this isn’t a small regional hiccup; at one point, well over 240,000 users in the United States alone were reporting issues with the platform, with similar reports coming from around the world. Some tracking sites even logged more than 280,000 reports in the U.S. and tens of thousands more from other countries within a short window.

If you’re having trouble with YouTube TV, you’re not alone. Reports indicate it is also affected by the ongoing outage. Stay tuned, we’ll bring more updates as Google or YouTube provides official details or service restoration timelines.

This is a developing story…
