25 New XBOX Handheld Games Arrive, Including Aniimo and Cassette Beasts

New XBOX handheld games have arrived for September 12, with Microsoft expanding the number of titles optimized or compatible with devices such as the XBOX Ally.

While it was already confirmed that 32 games are coming to XBOX next week, Microsoft is also expanding handheld support with another batch of games.

According to TrueAchievements, the latest update adds 12 handheld-optimized games and 13 handheld-compatible games, for a total of 25 additions.

12 new handheld-optimized XBOX games

The latest handheld-optimized additions include:

• Cassette Beasts
• Brainrot Kart
• Leaf Blower Co.
• Moonbringer
• myPOPGOES
• Railbreak DX
• Thunder Hoop Collection (QUByte Classics)
• Cat Mirror (Windows)
• Dominus Mahjong Arcana (Windows)
• Mia’s Journey (Windows)
• Retro Cube Slider (Windows)

Aniimo and Cassette Beasts stand out among the latest additions, with both now receiving the handheld-optimized designation.

13 more games are handheld-compatible

Microsoft also added another 13 games to its handheld-compatible category:

• Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game
• Deconstruction Simulator
• Fear The Timeloop
• Marsupilami 2 – Salsa Palombia
• Super Woden Rally Edge
• The Lonesome Guild
• Arcade Archives 2 Wiz
• Feed Your Cat: New Paths
• Fortress Merge
• I Am Angel
• Puzzledorf
• Shikaku Room
• Tales of Formentera

That brings this week’s total to 25 newly supported handheld games.

Handheld-optimized vs. handheld-compatible

Microsoft separates supported games into two categories.

Handheld-optimized games are specifically suited to the XBOX handheld experience and should provide a better experience on supported portable devices.

Handheld-compatible games can also run on supported handheld hardware, but they may not offer the same level of handheld-specific optimization.

The growing list gives XBOX handheld owners more games designed or confirmed to work with portable hardware.
