Pentiment and Hi-Fi Rush will be the first Xbox exclusives to go multi-platform

Microsoft is changing its business strategy for the gaming front, and as a result of that, some of the Xbox exclusives are on their way to other platforms, including the rival platform, PlayStation 5.

Earlier this month, when datamining hinted that Hi-Fi Rush, released in 2023, could be going to Nintendo Switch in the near future.

With the reports of new strategies and substantial changes in multi-platform gaming, these rumors gained momentum.

Phil Spencer reportedly confirmed to employees that Xbox consoles are not going anywhere, and he also mentioned that he would reveal updates on the future of Xbox in a podcast on February 15, 2024.

Apart from this, there is no official information about the speculations circulating about the Xbox exclusives until now.

However in a recent report by Verge, that Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment will be the first Xbox exclusives to appear on PS5 and other rival platforms, followed by Sea of Thieves later this year.

In another report by Verge, Bethesda is planning to bring Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to PlayStation 5 after a brief period of Xbox exclusivity.

According to this report:

Microsoft’s new multi-platform approach for Xbox games hasn’t been finalized.

This means that the decisions on the game releases for PS5 or Nintendo Switch may be made on a case-by-case basis.

Earlier, a well-known leaker, NateTheHate, made the claim that Starfield is all set to come to PlayStation 5. However, he backtracked it and called it a lapse in judgment.

So, another report said that Starfield could come to PS5 after its Shattered Space expansion release, but there is no release date for that yet, so it is safe to say that Starfield might not be on the list of first Xbox exclusives going multi-platform.

Another rumor hints that Halo Infinite would come to other platforms, but there is no corroboration of this speculation as well.

As a game enthusiast, all we can do is wait for this Thursday’s business update, wherein Phil Spencer might shed some light on the Xbox exclusives’ future and name the games going on rival platforms.
