Windows 11 Enterprise updates: Features for Windows Autopatch & Windows 365

Recently, Microsoft introduced new features for its Windows 11 Enterprise users through an update. Apart from the features introduced in the consumer update, the update included new features of Windows Autopatch and Windows 365 cloud-based PC desktop services.

New features added to Windows Autopatch

1. Import Update rings
   • Allows the import of existing Update rings for Windows 10 and later.
   • Seamlessly integrate current update schedules into Windows Autopatch Management.
   • It will automatically register all targeted devices into Windows Autopatch without the need for redeployment.
   • Imported rings will be reflected in reporting and release experiences.
2. Customer-defined service outcomes in Preview:
   • Deployment success is now based on user-defined rings, offering flexibility beyond the previous static 21-day schedule.
   • Enhanced reporting shows percentage completion for quality and feature updates.
3. Improved Data Refresh Speed and Reporting Accuracy:
   • Windows Autopatch reporting now refreshes every 30 minutes, which is significantly faster than the previous 24-hour cycle.
   • Enhances data accuracy and provides more timely insights into patch compliance status.

New Windows 365 features

1. A dedicated mode for Windows 365 Boot allows you to sign in to your CloudPC using passwordless authentication.
2. A faster account switching experience that enables seamless transitions between different user accounts on cloud PC.
3. Windows 365 Switch allows you to sign in and connect to your Cloud PC using Windows 11 Task view.

Other features

• Enhanced voice access – Allows you and people with mobility disabilities to control your device and author text using voice without an internet connection.
• Narrator Improvements – Comes with natural voice previews, improved detection of text in images, including handwriting, and announces bookmarks and comments in Microsoft Word.
• Windows share – Now suggests different apps for sharing according to the signed-in account.
• Nearby Share – Provides faster transfer speeds and an option to name the devices for seamless content sharing.
• Casting improvements – Allows you to send content wirelessly from your device to a nearby display, and the Cast menu in Quick settings provides assistance in locating nearby displays and fixing connection problems.
• Snap Layouts – Introduces hover-over feature on the minimize or maximize button to open the layout box to streamline on-screen app organization, providing you with options to view and select the suitable layout.

To download the latest updates on your computer, you can navigate to the Settings app, then Windows update>Check for updates.

However, if you want to manually download the latest release, you can download it from the Microsoft Update Catalog website and install it on your device.
