Pre-orders for Hyperkin’s 20th Anniversary Xbox controllers went live a few hours ago and all three models sold out almost immediately.
“Thx for supporting the #Duke!” a tweet on the official Hyperkin Twitter account read. “Because pre-orders were met w/ enthusiasm, the 1st batch of Anniversary Dukes are SOLD OUT! A 2nd batch will be released 12/15 on Amazon!”
The above-mentioned Amazon pre-orders are now live and, as of the time of this writing, all three are still in stock.
Hyperkin announced their special 20th Anniversary Xbox controllers last month. Each controller is modelled after the original Xbox console’s massive Duke controller with designs inspired by the Halo franchise’s Cortana character and the newer Xbox Series X and S black and white designs.
Each Hyperkin 20th Anniversary Xbox controller features a built-in screen which plays an Xbox logo startup animation on the white and black controllers and a special Cortana clip edit on the purple Cortana controller.
The first batch of controllers are currently slated to launch on November 15th though the second batch of pre-orders being sold on Amazon will come out a month later on December 15th. If you’re in Australia, pre-orders via EB Games are slated to ship on December 21st so it’s likely that release and ship dates will vary by region and product availability.
