Perfect Dark is a popular shooter from Nintendo 64, and its reboot has been in the works for a while.
According to the latest rumors, it seems that we might get the first glimpse of the game as early as next month.
Perfect Dark might appear during Xbox Games Showcase
Microsoft recently closed several Xbox studios and this has many worried about the future of Perfect Dark.
As Wccftech reports, a well-known leaker, Jeff Grubb, said that the Perfect Dark reboot is in a rough spot after the shutdown of these studios.
However, this information was contradicted by another insider called Nate the Hate stating the following:
If we go the entire year without seeing Perfect Dark in any form, then I think that conversation of concern has to come up, but at this point, I fully expect that we will see Perfect Dark next month and that some of the more recent rumors may have been outdated information perhaps. I have been hearing things this week that Perfect Dark is not in that bad of a state.
Grubb later clarified that the information he had represented the opinion of a single developer and not the entire development team.
However, Grubb wasn’t the only person who shared this information, other insiders also spoke negatively about the state of the reboot.
None of this information is confirmed, so maybe we shouldn’t rush to conclusions just yet. As for the Xbox Games Showcase, it will be held on June 9th, so stay tuned for more information.
Xbox has many games coming out in the second half of 2024, so who knows, maybe we’ll get to see Perfect Dark after all.
In other news, Xbox is in bad shape, and many are blaming Phil Spencer for it, so we’ll see what the future of Xbox holds.
