Slack
- Slack for Windows on ARM is currently in beta and available for download from our website. We’re still busy adding features and making adjustments to the app, but keep your eyes peeled for it appearing soon on the Microsoft Store.
This shows the direction of computer use that focuses on being energy-efficient but still strong. Computers with ARM processors are known for their long-lasting battery life and efficiency in performance — they’re stirring up the tech world.
We will soon see the release of the initial Copilot+ PCs, which are powered by Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon processors. Surface Pro 11th Edition and Surface Laptop 7th Edition, along with other products from top manufacturers such as HP, Acer Inc., Lenovo Group Ltd., and AsusTek Computer Inc., promise improved battery life and performance—particularly for everyday consumers.
However, there’s more to this story. Gossip is spreading about another round of ARM-powered computers, now intended for business use. Qualcomm is also broadening its Snapdragon X processors to include a more extensive variety of devices, suggesting a future that includes not only laptops but also all-in-ones and mini PCs.
Slack’s choice of backing Windows on ARM shows the increasing number of apps providing native ARM64 versions. As more applications join this, the possibility of Windows on ARM matching its x86 alternatives is getting closer.
It is a thrilling period for both technology fans and experts because we are witnessing a new era in computing history. With Slack’s inclusion, the push for a faster and stronger future in computing keeps growing.
