Microsoft Teams will be splashed with another ad-like survey asking users how likely they are to recommend Teams Rooms, with a score from 1 to 5, and provide additional feedback on Teams Rooms on Android devices.
According to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the new experience will debut in November 2024 and impact all platforms, from government-based customers to commercial customers to regular users.
Here’s what the entry says:
Users can rate how likely they are to recommend Microsoft Teams Rooms from 1 to 5 as well as provide additional comments on Teams Rooms on Android devices.
On the other hand, Microsoft Teams will also get a couple of really useful capabilities that could potentially transform the way the platform engages with users and admins. The first of them involves admins being able to designate an email address for receiving ‘Report a problem’ submissions from Android users. This capability should make it easier for admins to deal with an influx of reports.
Here’s what the entry says:
Admins can designate an email address for receiving ‘Report a problem’ submissions from users in Teams Rooms on Android. The email address can be set through device settings and the Teams admin center.
The second capability will let admins switch the screens of Teams Rooms on Android devices in dual display mode remotely without having to physically do so. According to the entry, which can be read below, the new option will be accessible in device settings and the Teams admin center.
Admins can switch the screens of Teams Rooms on Android devices in dual display mode remotely, correcting front-of-room display issues without physical support. The screen swap control is accessible in device settings and the Teams admin center.
All of these new capabilities are coming to Microsoft Teams in November, and they are set to update how admins moderate users on the platform. While the changes will undoubtedly enhance the experience of admin tasks on Teams, there might be too many updates.
Admins have complained that they cannot keep up with Microsoft’s dynamic pace of releasing updates.
What do you think about them?
