AMD new CPU

AMD just unveiled  Ryzen mobile CPUs for premium 2-in-1s, ultra-thin notebook computers, and convertibles.

This comes just after AMD’s fantastic success with its Ryzen desktop processors, combining the architectures of Radeon Vega graphics and Zen x86 cores for a system-on-chip design.

According to AMD, the new Ryzen 7 2700U features a 15W nominal processor, the fastest processor created for ultra-thin notebooks.

It will boast up to 44% more multi-threaded CPU performance and up to 161% more graphics performance compared to Intel processors.

These Ryzen mobile processors will provide leading performance in a sleek form factor along with blazing fast speeds compared to the previous AMD mobile processor generation.

Ryzen mobile processors feature the brand new Precision Boost 2 technology, accelerating the CPU’s performance in workloads using one or more CPU cores.

The Mobile Extended Frequency Range (mXFR) raises sustained performance in notebooks and provides impressive cooling solutions and also certified for Ultimate XFR Performance.

The new processors are also highly energy efficient. AMD also plans 2X battery life improvement. What’s also great is that the premium laptops powered by these new processors may provide up to ten hours of battery life.

Microsoft OEMs to release Windows devices powered by the newest Ryzen CPUs in a few weeks

Windows devices powered by these new Ryzen processors will be available from Microsoft’s partners including top manufacturers such as Lenovo, HP, and Acer later by the end of the year. According to AMD, Dell and more OEMs will also launch their own devices powered by the latest Ryzen CPUs in early 2018.
