microsoft teams meeting recap

All those who are using the Microsoft Teams’ useful meeting recap feature, there are some good news for you: the Redmond-based tech giant decided to enhance it with a share via link option, meaning you’ll easily be able to share insights and summarizations of the meeting with your colleagues.

According to a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the enhancement will impact Teams for Desktop and Mac, and users can share the meeting recap link in chats and groups.

However, those who can’t access the meeting recap must request a recording and transcript access from their admins.

Here’s what the entry says:

Meeting participants can now share a link to the meeting recap from the meeting thumbnail in chat and the recap tab, making it easier to reference and share the meeting recap insights with others. Meeting participants can share the meeting recap link with anyone in their organization, for those users who don’t have access to the recording or transcript, they need to request recording and transcript access before they can access the meeting recap.

The enhancement will be released in February 2025.

Meeting Recap was introduced back in 2023, and it changed the way Teams meetings are happening. The AI-powered capability can summarize and provide all participants with time samples and suggestions for the meeting.

Microsoft recently announced that it will also release it to Town Hall.
