ERROR_ALERTED

The ERROR_ALERTED with error code 739 (0x2E3) indicates issues in either Windows apps or a third-party app. This error might appear due to system file conflicts, missing registry keys, or corrupted system data.

First, try restarting your system, as rebooting your device can resolve some system conflicts. Next, press Windows + X and select Event Viewer. Head to Windows>System, and look for warnings or errors related to disk drives to understand the cause of the BSoD.

How can I get rid of ERROR_ALERTED?

1. Check for Windows Updates

  1. Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.
  2. From the left pane, click Windows Update.

  4. If an update is available, click Download & Install to ensure all the updates are installed.

2. Run a full malware scan

3. Run System File Checker

  3. Wait for the scan to complete, then restart your computer to let the changes take effect.

4. Run the DISM tool

  1. Press the Windows key, type cmd in the search box, and click Run as administrator from the list of options to launch Command Prompt with administrator rights.
  2. Copy & paste the following commands one by one to run the Deployment Imaging Service and Management Tool (DISM) to repair the Windows image files via Windows update and press Enter:
    • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
      DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  3. Wait for the scan to be executed, then reboot your PC to save the changes.

5. Update/reinstall the device drivers

  2. Type devmgmt.msc and click OK to launch the Device Manager app.
  3. Expand each system component category one by one and search for a driver that has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside.

Windows will find and install the best driver version available for your device. 7. Restore your PC to the previous version
