Microsoft released Windows Admin Center 2511, delivering several upgrades for IT admins, and you can download the new version from the official announcement page.

What’s New In Windows Admin Center 2511

The update restores silent installation support with /Silent, /VerySilent, /HTTPSPortNumber, and /CertificateThumbprint command line parameters. The refreshed PowerShell Configuration module also lets admins modify settings directly through scripts.

Certificate troubleshooting guidance has been added, and installation logging now writes details to the Windows Event Log, improving diagnostics and compliance tracking. Localization fixes are also added to resolve issues that blocked backend migration in the past.

The update also brings high availability returns for the gateway through active-passive clusters. VM management feels faster thanks to improved UI responsiveness, smoother import/export workflows, backend validation to reduce misconfigurations, and better affinity rule handling.

It’s worth mentioning that the Virtual Machine Conversion tool has entered public preview, helping admins modernize workloads. The Remote Desktop tool has been updated with 30+ international keyboard layouts, faster load times, and stronger reliability.

Lastly, the new security upgrades include Windows Server 2025 Silicon Assisted Security tools, the Security Baseline tool, and Windows LAPS for automated password rotation.

Microsoft also released Shift Toolkit, a free GUI tool that automates VM migration across hypervisors and handles disk format conversions. These are some of the most notable changes, but you can read more in the official announcement page.

In addition to releasing this update, Microsoft pledges $19B to boost Canada’s AI future in order to cement its presence on the AI market.
