A Nintendo Partner Direct is Reportedly Planned For Next Week, Check Date Here

Nintendo Direct

Nintendo may be getting ready to spotlight its third-party game lineup again. New reports suggest a Nintendo Partner Direct event is scheduled for next week, with a focus on partner titles rather than first-party releases.

A Nintendo Partner Direct focused on Switch and Switch 2 games

According to claims made by NatetheHate and GameXplain, Nintendo is planning a Partner Direct for Thursday, February 5. The timing reportedly lines up with what folks at Video Games Chronicles (VGC) have heard from their sources. So, we are looking at another digital showcase for external developers and publishers.

For those unaware, Partner Directs are Nintendo’s way of highlighting third-party projects coming to its platforms. That includes games headed to both the current Switch and the newer Switch 2, rather than titles developed internally by Nintendo’s own studios.

The last Partner Direct took place in July and delivered a packed slate of announcements. Games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Monster Hunter Stories 3, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Star Wars Outlaws, and Octopath Traveler 0 all made appearances, giving players a clear look at Nintendo’s wider publishing support.

Some of the earlier announcements

With Switch 2 now moving deeper into its first year on the market, expectations around third-party announcements are growing. Several major releases are already confirmed for the system, including Elden Ring, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, 007: First Light, and FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods.

If a Partner Direct is indeed coming next week, it may arrive at a key moment for Nintendo’s next console push.
