Nioh 3 Arrives on PS5 and PC First, Six-Month Console Exclusivity Confirmed

nioh 3 multi platform

Nioh 3 appeared with a playable demo on Steam not long ago, and its full release is now right around the corner. Alongside launch timing, new information sheds light on how long console players on other platforms may need to wait.

According to reporting from The Gamer, Nioh 3 launches on PlayStation 5 and PC on February 6, 2026. Promotional material includes a small-print disclaimer confirming that the game carries PlayStation 5 console exclusivity for at least six months.

Nioh 3 console exclusivity window explained

The disclaimer states that Nioh 3 will not be available on other consoles until at least six months after the February 6 launch date. Based on that wording, availability on additional platforms could begin around August 2026.

After the exclusivity period ends, the game could potentially arrive on platforms such as Xbox Series X/S or Nintendo Switch 2. No official announcements confirm which consoles may receive a port.

This would mark a shift for the Nioh franchise. Previous entries launched as PlayStation exclusives, with PC versions following later, but never expanded to other console ecosystems.

The six-month restriction applies only to consoles. The PC version launches on the same day as PlayStation 5 and remains unaffected by the exclusivity agreement.

For now, it remains unclear whether the exclusivity window guarantees future console ports or simply allows them if developers choose to move forward.

In other gaming news, the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally is currently available at a discount, while the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo on Switch 2 received a recent update.
