Windows 11 Canary Update KB5079452 Brings Pen Settings Improvements
Microsoft has released a fresh update for its experimental testing tier. Testers in the Windows Insider Program can now download Canary Build KB5079452, officially designated as Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 28020.1737. This specific release focuses on hardware configuration tweaks rather than massive software overhauls.
Pen settings get a Copilot upgrade
The most notable change in this version is how the operating system handles physical stylus inputs. Microsoft has refined the Pen settings page, specifically targeting the functionality of the pen tail button.
Users now have access to a new configuration option labeled “Same as Copilot key.” When activated, pressing the back button on your pen will immediately open the same application assigned to the physical Copilot key on newer Windows keyboards.
What this really means is that you can summon your digital assistant directly from your stylus. If you are drawing on a tablet or taking notes, you no longer need to put the pen down or reach across your desk to interact with Copilot.
.The latest update arrived soon after Microsoft rolled out the Windows 11 KB5079387 update. The same update also brought settings and input improvements. It also updates the narrator with rich image descriptions & lifts smart app control limit.
