XBOX Game Pass August 2026 Lineup Includes Five Confirmed Games

XBOX is set for an exciting week ahead, with a total of 44 new games scheduled to arrive on the platform next week, and we also have fresh news about the upcoming Game Pass lineup.

Five XBOX Game Pass games have already been confirmed for August 2026, including four day-one releases, according to TrueAchievements.

The early lineup includes Beast of Reincarnation, Monsters are Coming!, Sandustry, Grave Seasons, and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.

XBOX Game Pass August 2026 Lineup

Four of the five confirmed games will join Game Pass on their release dates. Monsters are Coming! is already available through PC Game Pass but will launch on XBOX consoles in August.

Beast of Reincarnation and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy headline the current lineup.

Beast of Reincarnation — August 4, 2026

Beast of Reincarnation will launch for XBOX Series X|S and PC on August 4.

The game will be available through XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from day one.

Developed by Game Freak, the studio behind Pokémon, Beast of Reincarnation is an action RPG set in post-apocalyptic Japan.

Players control Emma, an outcast travelling alongside her dog, Koo. The pair combine their abilities to fight a corrupted creature threatening the natural world.

Monsters are Coming! — August 6, 2026

Monsters are Coming! will arrive on XBOX Series X|S on August 6 through XBOX Game Pass Ultimate.

The tower-survivor roguelite is already available on PC and will now make its XBOX console debut.

Players must protect a constantly moving city from waves of enemies. They gather resources, improve defenses, and attempt to survive until the city reaches its destination.

Sandustry — August 13, 2026

Sandustry will join XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on August 13 as a day-one release.

The PC-only factory automation game features fully destructible environments where every pixel acts as a physical entity.

Players can mine, mix, process, or destroy materials while digging through the planet. The objective involves building automated systems and uncovering treasures left behind by an ancient civilization.

Grave Seasons — August 13, 2026

Grave Seasons will launch through XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on August 13.

The game combines farming simulation mechanics with horror, mystery, and narrative-driven investigation.

Players can farm, forage, craft, and build relationships in the unsettling town of Ashenridge. At the same time, they must investigate a series of crimes linked to a supernatural killer stalking the town.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy — August 27, 2026

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will join XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on August 27.

The A Plague Tale spin-off follows Sophia, a character introduced in A Plague Tale: Requiem.

Set 15 years before the events of Requiem, the story takes Sophia to Minotaur’s Island, where she must confront a mythical creature connected to a devastating curse.

The gameplay is expected to differ significantly from the stealth-focused structure of previous A Plague Tale games.

Microsoft is expected to reveal additional August 2026 Game Pass additions closer to the start of the month.
