Steam Machine early sales appear stronger than some analysts expected, despite Valve’s premium $1,049 starting price.

The gaming PC currently ranks second on Steam’s Global Top Sellers chart, between Counter-Strike 2 and Palworld.

Steam Machine Weekly Revenue Estimated at up to $18 Million

Boiling Steam analyzed Steam marketplace rankings to estimate the Steam Machine’s early sales performance.

The publication estimates that Valve generates between $10 million and $18 million in weekly Steam Machine revenue.

The calculation compares the system’s position with nearby products on Steam’s Global Top Sellers chart. Valve has not released official revenue or shipment figures.

Weekly Sales Could Exceed 12,000 Units

The estimate assumes that approximately 65% of customers choose the $1,049 Steam Machine, while 35% purchase the $1,349 configuration.

Based on that split, Valve could ship between 8,700 and 15,600 units per week.

Boiling Steam considers weekly sales of around 12,000 to 15,000 units the most likely current range.

Annual Sales Could Reach 750,000 Units

If demand remained stable, Steam Machine annual sales could reach between 600,000 and 750,000 units.

That would represent a solid result for a premium gaming PC, especially given its four-figure starting price.

However, launch sales often include pre-orders and strong demand from early adopters. Weekly sales could decline by 20% to 30% after the initial launch period.

Even with that reduction, the Steam Machine could continue generating commercially healthy sales.

Estimates Depend on Revenue Rankings

Steam’s Global Top Sellers chart ranks products by revenue rather than the number of units sold.

As a result, sales estimates depend heavily on assumptions about which Steam Machine configurations customers purchase.

Valve does not publish official hardware shipment numbers, so the figures remain estimates rather than confirmed sales data.

Marketplace rankings will provide one of the clearest indicators of the Steam Machine’s performance until Valve releases official figures.

Valve also plans to fix the Steam Machine temperature warning through a new BIOS update. The company recently warned that the global memory and storage supply crisis continues to worsen.
