While Xbox has previously teamed up with multiple other brands to launch its clothing merchandise, a full-blown gaming-inspired collection for homes is something you wouldn’t think of on regular days. That’s exactly what Xbox has done, as it has partnered with home furnishing giant, IKEA, to unveil YXSTABY. It is a nine-piece collection designed around gaming and everyday life.

The collection was created jointly by IKEA and Xbox designers. It aims to make gaming setups blend into living rooms instead of dominating them.

Gaming furniture gets a serious IKEA makeover

The collection includes furniture designed around common gaming problems. A rolling TV stand can move between rooms and stores gaming equipment behind it.

There is also a portable toolbox for controllers, cables, and hardware. Its lid doubles as a laptop stand, letting a dining table become a gaming spot.

A rolling side table provides space for controllers and charging equipment. Meanwhile, the monitor stand supports one or two displays and includes storage underneath.

IKEA says the designs were developed after visits to homes where gaming already happens. The goal was to accommodate players and everyone sharing their space.

Xbox’s controller becomes the design inspiration

The Xbox controller influences several YXSTABY products. Its D-pad becomes both a cushion and a stainless-steel decorative platter.

A mirrored display box is designed to showcase controllers, figurines, and other collectibles. The collection also includes a particularly unusual thumbstick stool. The stool was developed using original Xbox controller design files. Its shape is inspired by a thumbstick and can tilt while someone sits.

The furniture uses muted white, black, and beige tones. Green accents highlight storage areas, pockets, slings, and compartments for gaming equipment.

IKEA says the pieces are designed to work alongside furniture people already own. That makes the collection less about building a dedicated gaming room.

The collection will be up for grabs starting October 1st

YXSTABY was unveiled at Gamescom in August. The collection will become available through IKEA stores and online starting October 1. Availability may vary depending on the market. Still, the collaboration shows how gaming furniture is increasingly moving toward ordinary living spaces.

In other news, Xbox has revealed the 25th Anniversary Collection as well as the ROG Xbox Ally X20. For those looking for game announcements, we saw a wide array of titles announced during Gamescom 2026 opening night.
