Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Gets April 2027 Release Date
Square Enix has finally locked in Final Fantasy VII Revelation for April 8, 2027. The remake trilogy finale also received fresh gameplay during PlayStation’s latest State of Play. The reveal brings a bigger world, new combat systems, returning minigames, and multiple editions for eager players.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation goes fully open world
The biggest shift comes through exploration, with the iconic Highwind opening up the planet. Players can also ride Piko, the chocobo companion, who now joins battles and grows stronger.
A new dynamic character-switching feature lets players instantly swap party members while exploring. Grappling guns also expand traversal, allowing characters to scale rooftops and move through cities faster.
The game adds the FITS system, giving characters specialized uniforms with different abilities and combat functions. Warrior, Knight, Black Mage, and Summoner options can completely reshape party strategies.
Quest choices are also becoming more personal. Players can select different party members for certain quests, potentially changing story events and gameplay scenarios.
Queen’s Blood Returns With a New Story
Queen’s Blood is returning, but Square Enix is giving the card game a major Red XIII storyline. New opponents can reportedly alter matches dramatically, creating tougher challenges for experienced players.
Pre-orders are already live, with the Mecha-Chocobo & Moogle Summon Materia offered as a bonus. Premium editions add the Story Expansion Pass, while Premium Plus adds extra digital bonuses. The Story Expansion Pass includes two story-focused DLCs featuring Sephiroth and Vincent & the Turks. That gives the finale a sizeable post-launch roadmap.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation arrives across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
