Xbox Announces Tokyo Game Show 2026 Date and Start Time

Xbox is heading to Tokyo Game Show 2026 with a dedicated broadcast, hands-on demos, and an Xbox FanFest event in Tokyo. The company has confirmed that its TGS 2026 showcase will take place on September 17 at 7:00 PM JST (3 AM Pacific / 6 AM Eastern / 11 AM UK) featuring new gameplay, TGS-exclusive content, and games coming to Xbox this year.

Xbox brings Minecraft Dungeons II and Call of Duty to TGS 2026

The show floor will give Japanese players their first chance to play Minecraft Dungeons II, following its appearance at gamescom. The co-op dungeon crawler will also launch on September 29, 2026, with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will also be playable at the event through Xbox’s partnership with Happinet. Visitors will get hands-on time with its multiplayer ahead of the game’s global launch on October 23.

Microsoft says its network of developers and publishing partners across Japan continues to grow, while its relationship with the region now stretches back more than 20 years.

Xbox FanFest returns to Japan

Xbox FanFest will also take place in Tokyo on September 17, giving fans a chance to watch the Xbox Tokyo Game Show broadcast with special guests Misuzu Araki and Larry Hyrb. The event is part of Xbox’s 25th anniversary celebration.

Xbox Game Tokyo 2026 Broadcast will be livestreamed via Xbox’s official Japanese YouTube channel with 4K streaming. You can also watch the show live on Xbox’s Twitch and global YouTube channel. Language support will also be expanded after the presentation, including Hindi, Korean, Chinese, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese, among others.
