Nvidia Invests $3 Billion in Meta to Supercharge Muse AI Agents
Nvidia and Meta have announced an expanded partnership to improve Meta’s Muse AI models, with Nvidia making a $3 billion equity investment in Meta.
According to Nvidia’s official announcement, the companies will work together on AI training, inference, networking, and agent security.
The agreement follows strong consumer interest in Meta’s Muse AI agent. The platform recently reached 700,000 daily users, although its rapid growth has also brought service issues.
Meta plans to expand its Nvidia AI infrastructure
Under the agreement, Meta will expand its use of Nvidia’s AI infrastructure to support the development and deployment of its next-generation Muse models.
Meta plans to use Nvidia Vera Rubin systems to improve AI performance and power efficiency. It will also use Spectrum-X Ethernet and BlueField-4 to improve networking and handle larger AI workloads.
These technologies will help Meta train larger AI models, accelerate inference, and support more users running AI agents simultaneously.
Nvidia says Muse already runs on its infrastructure and delivers frontier-level performance in AI benchmarks.
Nvidia and Meta will explore new AI agent security features
Beyond computing infrastructure, the companies are exploring additional security capabilities for AI agents.
One area of potential collaboration involves Nvidia’s OpenShell Reference Architecture, which aims to make AI agent deployments safer and easier to manage.
The companies are also considering Nvidia Sentry, which helps monitor AI agent behavior and detect potential security risks. Together, these technologies could help Meta deploy and manage AI agents more safely.
These tools could help Meta strengthen security as Muse agents gain the ability to interact with applications, access information, and perform tasks on behalf of users.
Nvidia and Meta want Muse to reach billions of users
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang described AI agents as a new computing paradigm in which software can understand user goals, reason through problems, use tools, and complete tasks.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg outlined an even larger ambition, saying the company wants Muse to bring personal superintelligence to billions of people.
The partnership gives Meta additional computing resources to pursue that goal, while Nvidia strengthens its position as a major infrastructure provider for AI agents.
Meta is also preparing to expand Muse beyond its existing platforms. Microsoft has already confirmed that Meta Muse is coming to Windows, potentially bringing the AI assistant to a much larger desktop audience.
For now, the companies will focus on improving Muse’s performance, efficiency, and scalability as demand for AI agents continues to grow.
