The April Patch Tuesday updates are here. Cumulative update KB4493474 for Windows 10 version 1703 is now available for download. The update bumps the OS build to version 15063.1747.
The Redmond giant released this patch to enhance the security and overall functionality of the OS.
A quick note for users of version 1703 is that all the editions, except the Education and Enterprise editions have reached their end of service deadline.
To receive the updates, you must upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible.

As Microsoft explains, KB4493474 brings some important security updates for Windows Server, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Virtualization, Windows Kernel, Windows Graphics, and more.
Applications not respondingÂ
KB4493474 addresses another important issue related to MSXML6 some applications that stopped responding and threw exception errors.
Blue Screen of Death bug fix
Microsoft fixed a bug that affected previous released and caused blue screen of death errors. As a result, computers would stop working. Update KB4493474 fixed this issue and you should no longer get BSOD errors.
KB4493474 known issues
Surprisingly, unlike other Windows 10 cumulative updates, KB4493474 brings only one known issue to the table. The install process may take longer than expected or stall altogether.
Microsoft is working on a permanent solution to fix this problem. Meanwhile, you can try some of the temporary workarounds mentioned on Microsoft’s Blog.
