Windows 10's Task Manager is getting another tab

Everyone that regularly uses Windows 10 knows about the importance of the Task Manager.

It provides you with in-depth information about the status of the apps running on your PC, information about your CPU, GPU, Disk, and as well as Network usage, and it even gives you options to force-shutdown programs in case something goes bad.

Given the importance, it shouldn’t be hard to see why the Task Manager should deserve the occasional upgrade from time to time.

What will the new Task Manager tab do?

According to a post on social media, the Windows 10 Task Manager is set to receive three new features that will enrich it:

taskmgr will have an ‘Architecture’ column to display the architecture of process, like x86/x64/Arm32

Thus, the Task Manager will receive another tab alongside the Processes, Performance and all the others.

The new tab will display the architecture of process such as x86, x64 or Arm32. Similar functionality is already present in the Details tab, but it’s limited to 64-bit and 32-bit.

Not much information is available about when these new features will hit live. However,  it’s most likely to happen in the second half of 2020.

This new tab should come as useful for users that love efficiency when using programs since they know how many systems resources are getting poured in the programs, and why.
