It’s always nice to see that you’re awarded for your fidelity to a service or a product. A user posted on Reddit that he recently got a 500 credit reward to celebrate 7 years of using Microsoft Rewards.
In the post, he added the message It’s been a good seven years. One day I’ll have to pay for Game Pass. It is probably a sarcastic remark, probably pointing out that he doesn’t really use the points anyway.
The prize is still a prize and as I’ve pointed out above, it’s nice to be acknowledged, but several other users commented on the thread that 500 credits for 7 years of fidelity might be just a drop in a bucket.
I can get that 500 credit in around 2.5 days using Microsoft rewards! how’s that a big deal? Commented Mao_A.
Last year in September, Microsoft started flagging suspecting search activity on Microsoft Rewards and many users got an alert for this even though they didn’t abuse the system in any way. Also, recently, the Microsoft Rewards platform started to behave oddly, by raising and decreasing the cost of redeeming gift cards.
The only guess about this low prize is that Microsoft set it long ago and never updated it, but no one could really tell. As the commented user pointed out, 500 credit can be obtained pretty fast, even by just performing searches on Bing.
Maybe after seeing the user’s reaction to this prize, Microsoft will update the coin rewards for loyal users. We’ve learned about this story from Gaming Bible.
What do you think about the 7 year Microsoft Rewards prize? Let’s talk about this in the comments below.
