Acer has expanded its display lineup with four new 144Hz Full HD IPS monitors, offering a more affordable alternative to recent 240Hz gaming panels. The refreshed models upgrade previous 120Hz screens to 144Hz, targeting both gamers and everyday users.

The new lineup splits into two families: the gaming-focused Nitro VG0 series and the more general-purpose KA0 series. Each range includes 23.8-inch and 27-inch variants.

144Hz Upgrade Across the Lineup

According to Guru 3D, all four monitors feature 1920×1080 non-glare IPS panels with wide viewing angles and 99% sRGB color coverage. The move to 144Hz improves motion clarity in games and delivers smoother scrolling and UI navigation during daily use.

Acer positions these models as a balance between performance and affordability, especially for users who do not need premium 240Hz or 360Hz refresh rates.

Nitro VG0 Series Targets Competitive Gaming

The Nitro VG0 models include the 23.8-inch VG240YP6bmipx and the 27-inch VG270P6bmipx. These displays focus on esports and fast-paced gaming.

They offer a 1ms response mode using VRB (Visual Response Boost), designed to reduce motion blur during rapid gameplay. Support for AMD FreeSync helps minimize screen tearing and improve frame pacing.

Nitro models cater primarily to shooters, competitive multiplayer titles, and high-speed gaming workloads.

KA0 Series Focuses on Versatility

The KA0 family includes the KA240YP6bmix (23.8-inch) and KA270P6bmix (27-inch). These monitors prioritize broader device compatibility rather than gaming-specific features.

In addition to HDMI, KA0 models include D-Sub (VGA) inputs, making them suitable for legacy systems and older PCs. This makes them appealing for office environments, classrooms, and mixed-use setups.

Built-In Audio and Eye Comfort Features

All four monitors include integrated 2W + 2W stereo speakers for basic audio output. While not a replacement for dedicated speakers, they provide convenience for casual use.

Acer also includes blue-light reduction and flicker-free backlighting across the lineup, aiming to reduce eye strain during extended sessions.

Availability and Market Context

The new Acer 144Hz monitors launch on February 26, 2026, through major electronics retailers in Japan. Pricing remains listed as open price, meaning final retail costs will vary by region and seller.

The announcement arrives as both Acer and ASUS have reportedly taken down their German support websites due to sales-related restrictions. Meanwhile, users seeking higher refresh rates at competitive pricing may also consider alternatives such as the AGON Q27G4ZD.

With this refresh, Acer appears to target users who want smoother 144Hz performance without stepping into premium 240Hz territory.
