Easy Ways to Fix Acer PredatorSense Not Working

Your Acer PredatorSense not working could manifest in various issues with launching, crashing or failure to update some settings.
These issues can be triggered by an outdated Acer PredatorSense app, a newly updated app with glitches and compatibility issues with your current version of Windows.
How can I fix Acer PredatorSense not working?
1. End all related processes and reinitialize the app
- Open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
- Right-click on all Acer PredatorSense processes and select End Task.
- Hit the Windows + E keys to open File Explorer.
- Navigate to the following location:
C:\Program Files\Acer\PredatorSense
- Go to the PredatorSenseUWP folder.
- Locate the APPX file, double-click on it and wait for execution.
Clicking on the APPX file will force Acer PredatorSense to reinitialize and re-register it in case certain components of the installation file were corrupt.
2. Uninstall the latest Windows update
- Press the Windows + I keys simultaneously to open Settings.
- Navigate to Windows Update, then go to Update history.
- Click on Uninstall updates.
- Select the most recent update, then click Uninstall.
3. Restart critical PredatorSense services
- Hit the Windows + R keys to open the Run command.
- Type services.msc and hit Enter.
- Locate Predator service, right-click on it, and select Properties.
- Navigate to the General tab, under Startup type, select Automatic from the drop-down options, and click on the Start button.
- Next, click Apply and then OK.
- Repeat these steps for any other related service and restart your PC.
4. Run the compatibility troubleshooter
- Right-click the Acer PredatorSense app and select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab, then click Run compatibility troubleshooter.
- Select Try recommended settings to have Windows 11 reconfigure the Acer PredatorSense app.
- Once you have settled on a configuration, go back to the Properties window.
- Under Compatibility mode, click the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for and select the original operating system for the app.
- Also, check the Run this program as an administrator then click Apply, then OK.
5. Reinstall the Acer PredatorSense app
- Click on the Start Menu icon, type Control Panel on the search bar, and click Open.
- Select Uninstall a Program under Programs.
- Find the Acer PredatorSense app, click on it, and select Uninstall.
- Confirm uninstallation in the next pop-up.
- Next, navigate to your browser and visit the website Acer website.
- In the Identify Your Device section, fill in your device’s Serial Number, SNID or Model number respectively.
- Next, navigate to the Application tab and hit Download next to PredatorSense.
- Wait for the download to finish, locate it in the Downloads folder, right-click and select Extract All.
- Find the setup file, double click on it to run the app.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Alternatively, you can download the Acer PredatorSense app from the Microsoft Store.
6. Download an older version
- Launch your web browser and go to the Acer site.
- Scroll down to Application and expand the sections.
- Select a less recent version of the Acer PredatorSense app and then click Download.
- If you’d like older versions, navigate to the ApkPure site.
- Check the version numbers, select one from the list then click Download.
- Wait for the download to complete then follow the on-screen prompts to install Acer PredatorSense.
7. Check for BIOS update
- Check the model of your PC and the BIOS version. To check them, open Acer Care Center, which is a built-in program for Acer computers.
- Go to Acer’s official website and select Support > Drivers and Manuals.
- Select the PC category, model, and series.
- Now select your Windows operating system version and language.
- Locate the BIOS/firmware and expand it.
- Download the latest available BIOS update.
- Extract the .zip file.
- Connect the AC adapter to your Acer computer, and make sure it isn’t removed when updating the BIOS. If your PC shuts down during the update, the BIOS can get damaged, making your PC inoperable.
- Double-click on the BIOS file to update your computer with the latest available BIOS.
- Click Ok on the pop-up screen after you have read the message.
- Your PC will restart and update the BIOS.
8. Reset your PC
- Hit the Windows key and select Settings.
- In the left window pane, select System, then click on Recovery on the right pane.
- Click on Reset PC from the right side.
- Choose the type of factory reset you need. You can keep your files or completely delete all the files, apps, and settings on the PC.
- Select the option you want to reinstall Windows: Cloud download or Local reinstall.
- Click on Next.
- Finally, press the Reset button.
