Anthropic Extends Claude Fable 5 Promotion Until July 19
Anthropic has extended access to Claude Fable 5 for eligible paid subscribers through July 19, 2026, at 11:59:59 PM PT.
The company recently restored Fable 5 following the government shutdown. The promotion originally had a July 7 end date before Anthropic extended it to July 12.
The latest change gives eligible users another week to access the model without paying separate usage fees.
Claude Code Usage Limits Also Extended
Anthropic has also extended Claude Code’s temporary 50% increase in weekly usage limits through July 19.
Users do not need to activate the promotion or submit a claim. Anthropic will automatically apply the additional access to eligible accounts.
How the Fable 5 Usage Allowance Works
Eligible subscribers can use up to 50% of their weekly subscription limit on Fable 5 without paying extra.
Fable 5 shares the same weekly usage pool as other Claude models. Anthropic warns that the model can consume the available allowance more quickly than less demanding models.
The promotion applies to Claude Pro, Claude Max, Claude Team, and premium seats on seat-based Enterprise plans when enabled by the organization.
What Happens After Users Reach the Limit
Users who consume their 50% weekly Fable 5 allowance can continue using the model through separately billed usage credits.
They can also switch to another Claude model and use any remaining limits included with their subscription.
Which Users Are Excluded
The temporary promotion does not cover Claude Free users, standard seats on seat-based Enterprise plans, usage-based Enterprise plans, or Claude API usage.
Anthropic Plans to Restore Broader Access
Anthropic says it does not plan to permanently remove Fable 5 from paid subscriptions.
The company intends to restore broader included access once it has enough compute capacity to support demand.
