Anthropic Tests Claude Money to Bring Bank Accounts Into Claude
Anthropic appears to be testing a new Claude Money feature that could let users connect bank accounts directly to Claude and ask questions about their finances. The test comes after Anthropic merged Claude Chat and Cowork into a unified experience.
Claude Money could connect Claude to your bank accounts
Claude Money was spotted by TestingCatalog in the Claude app for iOS, where a new Money section appeared alongside Chats, Code, Artifacts, Dispatch, and Cowork.
The feature describes itself as a way to “understand your money,” allowing users to ask Claude questions about their spending, financial plans, and other personal finance topics.
A Get started button also appears in the interface for connecting an account, although Claude Money does not seem to be widely available yet.
Supported banks and regions remain unclear
Anthropic has not officially announced Claude Money, suggesting references to the feature may have appeared in the app ahead of a broader launch.
It remains unclear which banks and financial institutions Claude Money will support or how users will connect their accounts.
Anthropic has also not disclosed which countries will receive the feature first or whether it will impose regional restrictions.
Claude Money resembles ChatGPT Finances
The feature would put Claude closer to ChatGPT’s existing Finances experience, which lets users connect bank accounts, credit cards, brokerages, and other financial accounts through Plaid.
Anthropic has not confirmed Claude Money’s launch date, eligibility requirements, or geographic availability. A limited initial rollout remains possible, but the company has not announced any regional plans.
