Arc Raiders Latest Patch Nerfs Popular Weapon, Fixes Gameplay Bugs & More
Embark Studios has released ARC Raiders Patch 1.20.0 across all platforms. To apply the latest patch, you’ll need to restart the game. The latest update brings a mix of balance changes, cosmetic additions, and bug fixes.
Alongside the update, players get a new Rawhide Outfit and two additional haircut options. These additions are relatively minor, but they help expand customization.
Il Toro nerf leads key gameplay changes
The biggest change comes with a major rebalance of the Il Toro weapon. Developers say the changes target its damage output and long-range effectiveness, especially when paired with certain attachments.
Several stats have been reduced. Pellet damage drops slightly (7.5 to 7), while fire rate (43 to 38) and reload speed (4.3s to 5.7s) take more noticeable hits. That said, Dispersion has increased (4.5 to 6), making shots less accurate at range, and damage falloff is now harsher. All these changes are expected to make the weapon less dominant without upgrades.
That being said, the intent appears to push Il Toro closer to its intended rarity tier. It may now rely more on positioning, timing, and mod choices rather than raw power at base level.
Economy tweaks and bug fixes round out update
Besides weapons, the update also addresses a handful of gameplay issues. Fixes include resolving persistent audio bugs from destroyed projectiles and collision problems in specific map areas like Spaceport and the Dam Controlled Access Zone.
Speaking of balance, the in-game economy sees a small adjustment. Energy Clips now sell for significantly less, after reportedly becoming an overly profitable crafting option.
In other news, the game has replaced AI-generated dialogue with human voices following community backlash. Meanwhile, separate reports suggest that Marathon players were unable to type “Arc Raiders” in chat due to a bug that has since been resolved.
